Weak Abil results hit lenders across JSE
Shares of companies that had anything to do with lending or consumer spending were among the hardest hit on the JSE yesterday. This was as widespread negative sentiment was aggravated by the release of interim results from African Bank (Abil), which showed a 26 percent fall in headline earnings to R1.26 a share.
